Job Description

Daytime Healthcare are working alongside a well established Childrens Home who are currently looking for experienced Children Support Workers to join their team!As the Support Worker you will be directly involved in the day to day support of young people aged 11-17 years old, joining in with daily activities, coaching the young children on life skills, assisting them with their homework and being a positive role model. You will also be completing detailed records, writing up reports and assisting with the general up keeping of the home and key working with one or two of the young people will be expected.

  • You will be safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the young people living in the home by adhering to and updating their risk assessment as well as taking practical steps to ensure their safety.
  • Establishing trusting, positive and warm relationships with young people to enable young people to feel confident to express their wishes and feelings whilst maintaining appropriate and professional boundaries.
  • Ensuring that each young persons care plan is being followed and updated as appropriate to reflect their changing needs and being proactive in working to achieve the aims of the care plan.
  • Requirements:
  • Must have experience working with young people/ children in a residential setting.
  • Must be flexible to undertake shift working including evenings, weekends and bank holidays and occasional sleep-ins.
