Job Description

Transport and Hire CoordinatorAvonmouth£26,000 - £28,000Our client are one of the largest construction equipment dealers. They are looking for an experienced Transport and Hire Coordinator to join their busy depot in Avonmouth.What the job entails:

  • Answering incoming telephone calls and forwarding appropriately
  • Arranging and planning the transport of machines and attachments to given deadlines, ensuring the smooth day to day running of company logistics
  • Raising and goods receiving purchase orders & transport notes for movements
  • Raising monthly hire invoices
  • Dealing with equipment suppliers on a daily basis
  • Tracking and reporting of hired equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records of the hire fleet within the company system for equipment and attachment hires, loans, and demonstrations
  • Preparing hire, loan and demonstration agreements & sending to customers
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and forwarding appropriately
    • What we need from you:
  • Experience from a Transport, Logistics or Vehicle/Plant Rental background essential
  • Strong Administration background essential
  • Confident to speak to people over the phone
  • Attention to detail is a must
  • Understanding of import and export processes advantageous
  • Ability to thrive and succeed in a busy, ever-changing environment
