Job Description

Small Tools TechnicianLocation: Aveley, Thurrock (commutable from Dartford, Gravesend and Romford)Salary: £12.97 per hourClosing Date: Wednesday 7 October 2020IntroductionOur is currently seeking a Small Tools Technician to join the team based at Aveley.The successful applicant will be required to efficiently diagnose, repair and maintain a high turnover of small plant and tool repairs, keeping accurate service records and upholding high health and safety standards.Main responsibilities

  • To efficiently diagnose, repair and maintain all owned & customer owned small plant items in an efficient and safe manner
  • Adhere to all safety related documentation (safe systems of work, visual task sheets & risk assessments/permits to work etc.) for all maintenance activities.
  • Ensure Safety related documentation (risk assessments/permits to work etc.) for all maintenance work are completed where required
  • Utilise your skill set to reduce the number of items of equipment requiring external repairs
  • Maintain records of works completed and supporting processes using our electronic maintenance system
  • Strong & proactive communication with direct team, depot staff and Hire desk.
  • Support damage team with root cause problem solving exercises.
  • Delivery of continuous improvement.
    • QualificationsEssential:
  • NVQ Level 2/3 Plant Maintenance/time served or equivalent
  • CSCS card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
    • Preferred:
  • Counterbalance fork lift
  • CSCS Supervisor
    • ExperienceThe successful applicant will have a strong maintenance background with an excellent understanding of small plant/tools machinery ranging from 6kva generators, floor preparation equipment, air breakers & various electrical tools.Key Areas:
