Job Description

Project Procurement ManagerOur client has just won their largest ever international commercial project and are strengthening their project delivery team. Working with the MD and the Projects Director you will be responsible for the delivering the commercial success of this projectby ensuring they have favourable terms agreed with the supplier base and that their service provides an excellent end service to our customer.Responsibilities

  • Manage a detailed supply chain plan for each part of the project and report on progress of such projects to the relevant stakeholders
  • Identify the most appropriate supply route for each project for requirements to be procured in the most effective and efficient manner
  • Control the project supply chain actions whilst managing the supply chain risks securing the supply route appropriately
  • Negotiate clear, robust, and favourable terms and conditions in an appropriate contract
  • Creating and developing collaborative strategic supply chain relationships to ensure project flows are streamlined
  • Coordinating the project procurement to ensure that all aspects of commitments made to our customer are delivered, in full.
  • Manage multiple parties actions to ensure timely delivery to customer
  • Provide outstanding communication across the project team
  • Working at multiple levels from detailed analysis to executive programme steering meetings.
  • Pro-Actively monitor and expedite shortages
  • Support the Project Director with creation and updating project schedules
  • Ensure project & contract documentation is maintained, recorded and stored for audit purposes
Skills and qualificationsExcellent communication and decision-making skillsExperienced procurement manager with in depth skills in negotiation and supplier performance management
  • An exceptional level of attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
