Contracts Manager - EngineerBurgeoning specialist piling and foundations contractorMake a difference in NorfolkThis is not your ordinary big company role where you are just one of the numbers flying underneath the radar. This is a burgeoning family business that has an exciting opportunity for a career focused individual in the Norfolk area to make a significantimpact.Ideally you will have gained at least a few years experience working on site and will have been exposed to the dark arts of groundworks, piling and foundations. You will have enough knowledge to add value and have a really enquiring mind that will soak informationup like a sponge. Add to this your excellent organisational skills and interest in working on fast moving projects across the region and you will be the perfect person for the role.The company has a great reputation within the industry and are well known for their specialist services of providing foundations where no one else can. They also have a great internal culture where everyone really does make a difference and team is king!You will manage a range of site-based staff, suppliers and sub-contractors to set up and deliver multiple sites from pre-site commencement through to completed foundation. You will be on the road across the region carrying out site inspections as well asbeing responsible for the production, procurement, and planning of the days events.Health and Safety is a key part in what you will manage, and you will be comfortable reporting on your teams activities. In time you will develop the knowledge to add value at tender preparation stages.The company operates within the geotechnical engineering industry as a mini-piling specialist, so this experience would be a bonus, but wider exposure to the site based geotechnical sector would be a must.You may well be working as a Geo-Environmental Engineer, Geologist, Geotech or time served.
