Job Description

Position: Payroll & Finance AdministratorLocation: Atherstone/Nuneaton, WarwickshireSalary: £25,000 - £30,000 Duration: Full-Time, PermanentHours: 9am - 5pmMacildowie are pleased to be partnered with an established company which is consistently growing, based in the Atherstone / Nuneaton area in North Warwickshire. We are recruiting for experienced and enthusiastic Payroll professionals to take on a Payroll/Finance Administrator position which requires you to show strong knowledge of Payroll processes.We strongly advise experienced Payroll candidates to apply for this position if you have a can-do attitude and wish to expand your current skill-set to include other transactional Finance responsibilities (e.g. Accounts Receivable, CreditControl, Accounts Payable and more) as well as Payroll. Reporting to your Registered Manager and Company Director, you will be part of a small finance team of 3, and share an open and friendly working environment with the other business functions.This role should be an eye-opener if you are looking for more varied responsibilities as well as future progression as a result of long service, hard work and loyalty to the company.Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing the payroll of 200-300 staff for both salaried and hourly-waged employees
  • Ensuring accurate preparation and submission of data as required on a weekly basis
  • Calculations for sickness, isolations, Bank holidays, Maternity & Overtime payments.
  • Ensuring accurate calculations, production and distribution of invoices
  • Processing and reconciling remittances for customer and respond to Error and Tolerance reports in a timely manner
  • Dealing with incoming queries or complaints regarding Credit Control or invoices
  • Assisting with HMRC submissions, pension administration, and submissions, maintaining accurate employee/payroll records
Key Skills:
  • Previous experience supporting the Payroll function (ESSENTIAL)
  • Confident Excel and SAGE Payroll user (desirable)
  • Studying towards AAT qualification or similar (desirable)
  • Confident communicator, both verbal and written (ESSENTIAL)
  • Organised and able to adhere to strict time-lines (ESSENTIAL)
  • Previous experience working with private customers and Local Authorities (desirable)
  • Sociable personality, willing to build on the fantastic working environment and culture which this company currently encourages (ESSENTIAL)
