Job Description

Logistics People are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team.Location: AtherstoneWorking Hours: 4 On 4 Off Start time 12:00Pay rate: £14.00 P/hr Weekend Supplement £20.00 Saturday // £30.00 SundayLogistics People are currently recruitingHGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Team in AtherstoneAbout Logistics People:The Logistics People are a team of dedicated and energetic recruitment specialists, passionate about delivering exceptional results. What will you be doing:
  • To deliver Company and Third Party products to specified locations and in accordance with the delivery schedule
  • Ensure correct and thorough completion of paperwork
  • Observe and adhere to company rules and procedures, including all aspects of health, safety and hygiene
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of operations within the transport department
  • Effectively manage own working time in line with the Road Transport Directive
  • Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed in line with company procedure
  • Responsible for unit and trailer, including temperature checks
  • Ensure proof of deliveries (PODs) are signed and returned to the Transport Office after delivery
  • Achieve and succeed fuel efficiency targets set by the business
  • Any other duties as reasonably required
  • Collect loaded trailer from Gearys and deliver to Aldi rdc once arrive at aldi rdc you will be require to unload and place the customers product in the designated lane
  • All the product will be in baskets and on wheels
  • Once tipped driver will be require to collect baskets and deliver back to Gearys bakery
  • Typical run can consist on one or two delivers drivers is responsible to make sure is load is barred of for safety reasons
  • Goldthorpe(no collection) /Darlinghton(collect baskets only)
  • Darlinghton (collect baskets only)

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • HGV class 1 experience (Minimum 6 months)
