AnimatorAtherstoneBrook Street is currently working on behalf of our Games client to recruit an experienced Animator.This is a contract role to start ASAP for a period of 12 months.The role will be based remotely to begin with but will likely require some regular onsite presence at our clients Atherstone offices going forward.Salary: Up to £41,000 pa depending on experience.Role SummaryThis role requires an individual who has the experience and the passion to work on a AAA game experience. They must have very strong animation abilities, the ability to work autonomously and not be afraid to drive the vision of animation in the game with their own input.Key Responsibilitieso Creating bespoke animations to drive animation directiono Help inform design and production decisions and problem solve animation issueso Responsible for creating/implementing animation content to an excellent standard o Quality control of content in their specialismo Make balanced and rational decisions on the production of assetso Report Progress and flag Risks and Issueso Deliver content on schedule and within technical limitations Candidate requirements:o High quality animation skills that include experience in bipedal animation, quadruped and facial animationo Experience with motion capture animation is a bonuso Good knowledge of Mayao Some knowledge of working with cut scenes is a bonuso At least one full project cycle in a content creation roleo Good understanding of art productiono An outstanding portfolioo Passionate about animationo Excellent artistic abilityo Being able to meet deadlines and stick to schedules is essentialo Being self-motivated and autonomous o Must show problem solving skills and be logicalo Excellent communication skillso Well-organised and proactiveo Able to take and interpret direction and criticism as well as constructively critique the work of othersDeadline for applications: Monday 1st March 2021
