Advantage Resourcing is looking for an Maya Animator to work with a major/global Technology and Gaming organisation based at Twycross in Leicestershire. Due to the current climate this role will allow homeworking throughout the remainder of 2020 and into 2021.Candidates who are happy to travel to the site in future will be highly recommended once office working is back to usual.This will be a contract role for 12 - 18 months and we are looking for an Animator with several years exposure to animation, particular using Maya to work in this exciting international company creating bespoke animations to drive animation direction.Reporting to the Lead Animator, you will be responsible for the creation of gameplay animation, creature animation and cutscenes to bring our game worlds to life. You will have a varied and challenging role in our games development maximising quality as well as efficiencyResponsibilitiesCreating bespoke animations to drive animation directionHelp inform design and production decisions and problem solve animation issuesResponsible for creating/implementing animation content to an excellent standardMake balanced and rational decisions on the production of assetsDeliver content on schedule and within technical limitationsHigh quality animation skills that include experience in bipedal animation, quadruped and facial animationEssential RequirementsFamiliar with next-generation asset creation pipelines and toolsGood knowledge of MayaComfortable working in a pre-defined animation styleSelf-motivation, excellent communication skills, and a great team-player attitudePortfolio demonstrating relevant animation skills and stylesDesired CharacteristicsHave shipped one AAA Console/PC title as an animatorCreative and passionate approach to problem-solvingAble to take and interpret direction and criticismProactive, organised, able to work as part of a team and independentlyAble to effectively collaborate with game designers and programmersKey AttributesHigh quality animation skills that focus on bipedal workHas developed games before.
