Job Description

Do you have experience supporting pupils with Social, Mental and Emotional Health difficultiesA modern, improving school in Tameside has an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team. This temporary role is well suited to a keen, dynamic, patient and confident individual who is looking to make a difference in the futures of young people.School

  • Aged 11-16.
  • One to one and in small groups.
  • Range of different Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ESBD, ADHD, SMEH, physical disabilities and various learning difficulties.
  • Learning Support Department
  • Supportive and welcoming.
  • Well-run by an experienced SENCO.
  • Varied provision to meet pupils’ needs.
  • Role of the Learning Support Assistant
  • Hours: 8:30 - 3:30.
  • 5 days per week,Monday to Friday.
  • Starting w/c 8th March.
  • Supporting pupils in the and independently where necessary.
  • Ideal Learning Support Assistant
  • Genuine interest in supporting disadvantaged young people.
  • Experience of supporting pupils with SMEH.
  • Level 2 or 3 qualified.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Experience of working with pupils on a 1:1 basis.
