Job Description

Our lighting client in the North West is looking for a lighting designer to join their team to provide exceptional service to the regional sales team by providing lighting and lighting controls proposals.Key Responsibilities:

  • To work in collaboration with the sales team to provide support and guidance on project design ensuring meeting required customer deadlines; namely in product recommendations, lighting requirements, detailed design calculations
  • To provide a full range of both internal and external lighting calculations by applying Relux or Dialux.
  • To provide lighting control designs based on a lighting scheme.
  • To deliver lighting and controls layouts for projects through the application of AutoCAD.
  • To accurately complete all relevant documents as and when required namely; take-offs, luminaire schedules, technical submittals, datasheets, BREEAM documents.
  • To adhere to customer, industry, and legal standards when producing all lighting designs.
  • Support sales team on specialist projects as and when required.
Key Requirements to be considered for this role
  • Indoor lighting design experience
  • Demonstrable experience of using Relux / Dialux and Auto CAD
  • Qualification within a design-related or electrical engineering course
  • LIA qualification
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in an organised manner that enables the achievement of projects within a required timescale.
