Home Working opportunity with global client that is working on upgrading, optimizing and integrating new features as part of an upgrade to 5G. The company is a small bespoke telecommunications specialist and has an agile team of 25 developers across embedded, electronics and RF.Linux Kernel Engineer RoleThe home working role includes completing Embedded C development onto ARM controllers as well as Linux Kernel and Driver development. There is also scope to complete board bring up and communication protocol work, socket programming etc. Any experiencing with DACS or radio heads is also useful, the skills include a combination of:Embedded C (no C++)KernelInterfacing experience (Ethernet or RS232 OR Spior I2C)LinuxShell ScriptingAny experience with 4G or 5G is beneficial as is experience with Layer1.You will be working independently on tasks and expecting to contribute value with short lead times.
