Position: Service ManagerLocation: Market DraytonHours: 37.5 plus on call on a rotaSalary Details: £20.68 per hourDo you have an interest in supporting clients who have a Learning Disability, ASD and/or Mental Health issuesWe are currently seeking a Service Manager to join our Adult Mental Health, at Eldertree Lodge in Market Drayton, located approximately 6 miles from Market Drayton.Job overviewWe are looking for an individual who has proven experience of leading and running a service. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well under pressure and meet the challenges of working to deadlinesAs a service manager you will support both the Head of Nursing and Head of Quality by providing strong and robust leadership in the clinical environment using the core skills of facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution, teaching and delegation. You will be highly visible and accessible to patients and their families and staff, ensuring all patients and their families have the opportunity to seek information, help and support, or to communicate problematic or celebratory issues.Main duties of the jobYou will take responsibility for the care provided to patients and manage a team of staff working within the service whilst working closely with their line manager to ensure the efficient and effective running of their areas of responsibility. Ensure that care needs are assessed and programs of care are developed, implemented, evaluated and documented contemporaneously for caseload of patients and form part of the on call rota over 24/7. Be able to recognise the need for referral to statutory bodies (e.g. safeguarding, DoLS, MHA, MCA, etc) and ensure documentation is completed as necessary. On a shift by shift basis, be responsible for minimising the risks of infections and for the implementation of the relevant Code of Practice for prevention and control of infection.Many of our patients arrive with complex and challenging needs.
