Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Meeter Greeter to join our brand new, Northumberland Safe Haven!This is a 12-month contract, 15-hours per week post, working hours between 6am - 11pm Monday - SundayAbout the role We are looking for someone to join our Northumberland Safe Haven team as a Meeter Greeter, where you will provide a warm welcome to service users accessing the Northumberland Safe Haven in person, while ensuring appropriate risk assessments are in placeand monitoring of safety. You will support the Mental Health Support Workers and Senior Support Workers in delivery of an effective and safe service, as well as supporting the delivery of the Northumberland Recovery College by completing enrolment and providingup to date information on the timetable.Key Responsibilities

  • Meet service users accessing the Safe Haven at the entrance to provide a warm welcome.
  • Ensure case workers and senior case workers are aware of service users currently in the safe haven.
  • Support senior case worker and case workers with ensuring the safety of the environment and all who access the service.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of the Northumberland Recovery College offer and timetable, providing guidance and enrolment to service users.
  • Undertake any reasonable duties/responsibilities to meet the needs of the organisation.
About you
  • Demonstrable experience of supporting others with mental health needs
  • Understanding of mental health recovery and stigma
  • Awareness of local services
  • Highly developed communication, numeracy and written skills
  • High level of emotional resilience
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to undertake CPD as part of your role
  • Ability to work individually or within a team and foster good working relationships.
  • Ability to manage a high volume, pressured role and seek support when required
  • Regard for others and respect for individual rights of autonomy and confidentiality
