Job Description

Job Title: English tutorLocation: Ashington Salary: £120 - £200 per dayWorking Hours: 8.30 am - 4 pm Start Date: Immediately Contract Type: Long Term, Full Time� Launch Your Teaching Career as an English tutor in Ashington! �GSL Education is looking for English Tutor who is committed to delivering outstanding education at our client schools in Ashington. The schools take great pride on creating a welcoming environment where students are engaged, challenged, and motivated to achievetheir full potential.Currently there are several positions available within our client schools for an English Tutor on a part-time and full-time basis. Key Responsibilities: The main responsibilities as an English Tutor includes:

  • Planning and delivering specific English Language and English Literature tuition on a 1:1 basis at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level, tailored to meet individual student needs.
  • Having a genuine passion and desire to help raise attainment within English and share your love of your subject area.
  • Select and requisition appropriate books, instructional aids and school supplies as needed
  • Following the school behaviour management policy effectively
  • Promoting independence
  • Providing an outstanding level of safeguarding and pastoral care
  • Be responsible for the attainment of pupils
  • Be responsible for individualised learning plans for pupils with SEND and SEMH
Requirements: To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Proactivity, resilience, kindness and empathy
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us)
  • A full checkable work history
  • Hold Qualified Teaching Status
  • Have a degree in subject area
  • Be passionate about their subject area
