We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Nurse to join our Specialist Brain Injury Neurological Care & Rehabilitation Service at Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation & Neurological Care Centre, located in Hothfield just 3 miles from Ashford, Kent.Working with The Huntercombe Group is rewarding and varied. Through our "Conversation into Action" programme we actively encourage our employees to get involved and to drive organisational change for the better.The centre is a 32 bed facility providing specialist short-term and long-term person-centered rehabilitation, therapy and support for adults with either a brain injury or other complex neurological conditions.We also care for patients who are no longer able to be cared for at home but who with some specialist help can take part in everyday activities and live as independently as possible.Situated within 12 acres, our service offers intense rehabilitation for adults in the post-acute phase following a brain injury.The centre is located in the village of Hothfield, 3 miles from the busy town of Ashford.Our Senior Staff Nurses play an instrumental role in the lives of individuals, supporting and encouraging them to achieve their goals and ambitions.When you join The Huntercombe Group as a Senior Staff Nurse (RNA), you will be part of a company that is understanding, strives towards excellence, is innovative, reliable and accessible and above all puts people first.As a Senior Staff Nurse working in our Specialist Brain Injury Neurological Care and Rehabilitation Service, your main duties will be:-• To provide clinical leadership to a designated nursing team and ensure the provision of high quality• To assess and deliver effective individual care and treatment towards the rehabilitation of service users• To work according to the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and relevant professional guidelines as a named nurse or key worker for a defined group of patients.• To provide a high quality individualised standard of care to a defined group of patients, relatives and carers.• Ensure the effective supervision and development of staff .• To work and act as a key member of the team, supporting each patient with achieving their planned outcomes.• To act as the primary nurse in the assessment of needs and organising of care.• To take charge of a designated clinical area.• To adopt a flexible approach to hours of duty, in order to meet the needs of the service over a 24 hour period.People Management• Ensure the provision of appropriate supervision and support to members of the ward team• Manage allocated resources effectively through efficient resource allocation, skill mixes, roster management, and utilisation of equipment and authorisation of bank/agency staff.• Participating in clinical audit, clinical risk and quality issues, including the management and reporting of incidents• Act as a team leader for a group of nurses, acting as a mentor/preceptor• Deputise for the manager as and when requiredCommunication and Relationship Skills• Provide a high level of Communication with internal and external stakeholders• Participates in discussions and debates and staff meetings offering views, ideas and opinions.• Participate in the process of positively supporting and inspiring colleagues within the service to improve standards and quality and to develop professional practice.• Communicate all relevant issues pertaining to care..If you like what you have read, are dynamic, forward thinking and keen to learn, with a confident CAN DO’ approach in all you do, please click Apply now.Working Pattern: 12 hour shifts, days, night, weekends, bank holidays Required skills
