Business Development Manager - Air, Sea and Road Freight, Heathrow.Business Development Manager - Selling Air, Sea and Road Freight Services in Sunbury-on-Thames (Heathrow)Field-based role reporting into LHR branchbase salary £27,500 - £47,500 Depending on Experience + 10% bonus of all new business within the first year

About the job - Business Development Manager - Air, Sea and Road FreightMy client is the fastest growing UK headquartered freight forwarder, achieving a 2021 group turnover of £460m.They provide a variety of logistics services that include ocean freight, air freight, 3PL and ecommerce fulfilment to 1000s of clients with global supply chains.We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager to join our London Heathrow Branch.The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. They must develop a rapport with new clients and set targets for salesand provide support that will continually improve the relationship. They will be required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients. This position will require the Business Development Manager to work with midand senior level management. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description since it is the managers responsibility to develop pipelines of new business coming into the company. This position requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutionsand services the company and its competitors.Key Responsibilities - Business Development Manager - Air, Sea and Road Freight
  • Achieve profit growth through effective commercial management of new and existing accounts.
  • Demonstrate growth on a monthly basis and achieve the targets set out in the BDM scheme.
  • Maximise all revenue opportunities from existing accounts by proactively pursuing underdeveloped areas.
  • Generate new prospect leads and meet customers face to face, Teams/zoom and via the telephone.
  • Follow the company sales policies and procedures.
  • Update the CRM with records of all sales telephone calls, visits & Opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports in a timely fashion.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new services.
  • Both provide and record timely, accurate, competitive pricing while striving to maintain maximum profit margin.
  • Maintain contact with all clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Conduct company presentations.
