Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager Power Generators to work within the Project Management department at our Brush unit based in Ashby with regular travel to Plzeň, Czech Republic. The successful candidate will be responsible andaccountable for the coordination and completion of generator projects, ensuring fulfilment of customer and BRUSH needs. The role requires planning, control and monitoring of project resources and key indicators relevant to the project (Budgets, Operationalscheduling, GM, Time and variances, LDs, Contractual obligations etc.) Main Responsibilities

  • To lead, manage and control Generator projects (and associated engineered solutions) to ensure that they consistently satisfy contractual and customer requirements, deliver on time and within budgets.
  • Planning, control, and execution of project key deliverables (within budget, on-time, profitability, contractual obligations).
  • Work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, budget, and capability of BRUSH.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility and alignment. Ensure project resource availability and allocation.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, perform risk management to minimize project risks and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans to be shared with customers and key internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and provide regular updates on project status to key stakeholders and management.
  • Drive cultural and behavioural changes within project management and associated functions to ensure alignment, enhance efficiencies and productivity without compromising on the quality of work or introducing risk that could impact upon the short or long-termperformance of Brush products or services.
  • Conduct post project review sessions with stakeholders to obtain key learnings and insights which would drive improvements in future projects.
  • Interface and management of subcontractors, as relevant, to ensure adherence and compliance to project key deliverables and outcomes.
  • Travel to Generator sister companies, suppliers/sub-contractors and customers sites globally as required in support of the role as Project ManagerBrush Generators.
  • Ensure that key regulatory, statutory compliances and codes of practice are observed in every project element.
  • Accountable for the adequate data protection activities and awareness levels within their area responsibility, in line with the data protection policy.
Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will have a degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience. You will have 8 to 10 years of project management experience executing complex projects within a medium to large enterprise in the Power, Oil & Gas orMining industries.You will have strong proficiency in the use of MS Office Packages with good IT Literacy skills. Proven track record with demonstrable results in managing staff, influencing, and collaborating with associated functions. Additionally, you must have excellentwritten and verbal communications and you must be fluent in English. Czech language skills would be an additional advantage.
