Planning CoordinatorAshbourneGood base salary based on experience + good benefitsThe CompanyWith a history in excess of 4 decades, my client has been providing engineering solutions to a range of customers; offering bespoke vacuum and pressure formed plastic packaging to the food industry.From design to manufacture, the company are involved in providing tailored options across a number of specialist food packaging sectors that includes many household names.Due to continued growth and an enviable order book, they are now looking to strengthen their team with an experiencedPlanning Coordinator for their Ashbourne facility.The RoleYour main purpose as a Planning Coordinator - sometimes called a Production Expeditor / Planner - is to:• Work closely with Sales and Production to plan production and coordinate tooling needs, materials and consumables to avoid unnecessary down time on the machines• Ensure that supplied products meet BRC global standards (packaging and packaging materials) and are suitable for the company to use in manufacture• Purchase engineering and production consumables and maintaining a robust recording system for audit purposes• Maintaining close links with the Sales function to ensure you are aware of any changes in orders and the changes needed for production• Be a constant improver and always be looking for areas to improve the process• Assist with monthly stocktakes• Provide weekly reports• Generate Purchase Orders and chasing Production Purchase Orders• Plan production and coordinate tooling and materials, along with maintaining accurate records• Manage the stock control system (scrap, pick / delivery notes etc.)The PersonOK, we know you wont know everything and theres always an element of training needed to get anyone up to speed in a new job, but...and its a big BUT: there are a few key things youre going to have to have in order to be considered for this Planning Coordinator role:• Previous experience within a similar planning or expediting role (not necessarily from the same industry) but those with experience of BRC food packaging / materials will be at a distinct advantage• Either a degree or vocational qualifications relevant to the role• Strong administration skills and the proven ability to maintain accurate and traceable records from within a fast-paced and highly regulated industry• Excellent communication skills (verbal and via the written word) and the ability to work with all levels of shop floor staff, engineers, administration teams, suppliers and customersThe RewardsThis is a great opportunity to work for a stable, established and well-respected company that has a solid order book and a good future.• A good base salary, based on your experience• Good paid leave each year• Targeted training and development• A real opportunity to grow with the businessPlease be aware that we are not looking for those that would have an excessive commute or that would need to relocate
