In order to contribute to a low carbon future we have committed to treble our current Renewables output by 2030.What is the RoleWorking from Sloy Power Station, Inveruglas, G83 7DP, you will be involved in working on our civils assets throughout our Renewables Operations business, but principally on our Hydro catchments. Youll work as part of a small team who are responsible for carrying out a wide range of civil construction duties, undertaking maintenance to concrete structures, buildings, roads, bridges and other works within the Business.What do I needWere looking for someone who has experience in civil construction activities and in particular concrete works, combined with relevant site training. Plant operation experience as well as a trade or craft in an appropriate construction discipline would also be an advantage.Safety is SSEs number one priority, so you should have the ability to risk assess activities throughout your working day and to work within our Health and Safety guidelines. Were also looking for you to achieve authorisation levels within SSE Generation System Safety Rules (GSSRs), and training will be provided.The work involves regular travel and where necessary, working away from home may therefore be required.
