Job Description

Housekeeper (Cleaner)Sector: Private HealthcareBase: HospitalLocation: NottinghamJob Type: PermanentSalary: £18,000 per annumCar owner and driver: Yes, this is essential for the role due to where the hospital is based and shifts finishing at 12am, the successful candidate MUST be a car owner and driver. Please dont apply if youre not a car owner or driver.Working days and hours: Monday to Friday 4pm to 12am (these are set hours each day) 37.5 hours per weekCandidates may be expected to work on weekends to cover shifts if requiredBenefits:

Duties of this role include:
  • Undertaking the day to day cleaning of patient, public and employee areas.
  • The role is fully flexible between departments and to the needs of the business.
  • Housekeepers undertake a range of services throughout the clients facilities.
  • Maintaining a safe and pleasant environment for patients, visitors and client employees.
  • Replenishment of linen and consumables.
  • Flexibility to work in all departments (including theatre areas) and at other client sites where appropriate and as requested
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Car owner and driver is essential. Candidate MUST have their own transport due to location and shift pattern required to work.
  • Competence in literacy and numeracy
  • Good Communication skills essential
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
  • Prior experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
Candidates will need to complete a DBS check for this permanent role.
