FIRE ENGINEERSalary: Grade 7 £35,934 - £39,782 per annum37 hours per weekLocation: Various locations over the county of NottinghamshireAn opportunity has arisen to join a specialist team within the Fire Safety department of Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service (NFRS). This role will support all fire engineering related project work on behalf of NFRS which includes major projects for both the built environment and infrastructure. As well as considering fire engineered design solutions as part of the Building Regulations consultation process, the role may also provide representation at regional and national groups relating to public and firefighter safety to seek for continual improvement in standards.As a team of both operational and non-operational officers we offer technical fire safety support to a wide range of both internal and external groups. NFRS are an enforcing authority for the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order and our team provide technical support and opinion where critical risk issues are identified.The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified engineer with experience in evaluating fire engineered solutions in the built environment. The candidate will have excellent understanding of fire engineering related design guidance and Regulations and good working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order.
