Role: Rail Engineering ManagerLocation: Homebased, with travel to Northern IrelandSalary: £60-£80k (DOE)Techniche Global are recruiting a Rail Engineering Manager. You will be skilled in leading the delivery stage of projects and should be able to demonstrate significant constructing involvement and direction, to be able to provide independent Technical and Professionalexpertise to the Programme Engineering Manager to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.Key Tasks:* Provide support to the Programme Engineering Manager and provide professional guidance on all technical issues related to the Projects that you are responsible for.* Liaise with the clients representatives, Project Team, Programme Engineering Manager, other Rails Professional Heads as required over technical issues.* Carry out technical instruction and briefings for the Projects that you are responsible for.* Provide direction and assistance in the mentoring and instruction of all technical staff in the correct methods of carrying out their duties.* Independently monitor technical compliance on contracted works to ensuring that the documentation as required by the Client e.g., the Asset Management Plan (AMP) is correctly completed, accurate and delivered to the client within the required timescales.* Assist the Programme Engineering Manager and Rails Professional Heads in delivering compliance with all relevant safety legislation.* Ensure all technical aspects of works comply with group and line standards and contractual specifications.Qualifications* Essential:* - Professionally qualified in an appropriate discipline.* - Successful record in project and engineering management.* Ideal:* - Chartered Engineer.* - Educated to Degree Level.* - Fully conversant with railway structure and associated safety matters.* - In depth knowledge of utilities, construction and contracting.
