Company: Ashfield Engage Position: Healthcare Assistant- Phlebotomist Territory: Northern Ireland- Ballymena Or Craigavon Vacancy: Bank Salary: Competitive Ashfield Healthcare is currently recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant- Phlebotomist to work onan exciting programme which will involve working in clinics. The role will involve taking bloods, blood pressure, pulse and respiration monitoring procedures. This is a non-promotional role working in partnership with the NHS and patients to improve healthoutcomes. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of care, in which they are deemed competent, and as outlinedwithin programme specific documentation.Complete phlebotomy visits for patients as and when required, ensuring correct protocoland procedureis followed.Ensure all samples are correctly labelled and all documentation is completed in full inaccordance with local Trust protocols.Ensure urine samples are collected as per guidelines.Adhere to Ashfield infection control and health and safety proceduresand policies and any local Trust protocols.Adhere to BP, pulse and respiration monitoring procedures.In accordance with programme specific documentation prompt patients to complete diseaseassessments, as agreed with clinical team, and feedback results to responsibleclinician.Maintain accurate and timely paper and electronic records of patient interactions and visits.Ensure that confidentiality of information is maintained at all times following GDPR and dataprotection guidelines.Assist with clinical procedures, followingappropriate training and competency validation,and in accordance with programme specific documentation.
