Job Description

We are working with a global manufacturer of medical devices and healthcare supplies to recruit a Head of Operations who will oversee plant manufacturing operations.Based in Co Antrim, youll join the site leadership team and your role will have full oversight and responsibility in the areas of manufacturing, scheduling, production throughput, procurement and quality.Suitable candidates will need a proven track record managing teams in production, supply chain or engineering within manufacturing settings, with strong knowledge of operational processes, SOPs and GMP.Salary is highly competitive and negotiable in line with seniority of the role, as part of the package you can expect performance bonus, company car, long term incentive and generous pension matching.The Role

  • Direct daily operations of manufacturing, ensuring production is delivered on time and in line with quality, compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure operational efficiency targets are achieved, OEE and downtime tracking
  • Manage procurement processes, coordinating materials, equipment and resources
  • Optimise processed to reduce cost and maximise GMP production throughput
  • Develop staff and teams to instil high performance, retention, best practice, productivity and quality
  • Work with business development team to effectively develop and execute capacity planning
  • Manage and develop process flow, creating and achieving production schedules
  • Project management, strategic proposals and stakeholder management as required
What we are looking for
  • Extensive Operations Management experience in Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharma/ Medical sectors
  • Strong experience leading production, supply chain or engineering teams
  • Highly knowledgeable of operational process, SOPs and GMP
  • Leadership skills to empower and inspire others and able to develop a strong management team
  • Excellent communicator at all levels who can influence and negotiate, also building positive working relationships and collaboration across the business
  • Third level qualification in manufacturing, engineering or science
