Job Description

Stores OperatorLocation: Nottingham, NG15 0DRSalary: £25,486.00Hours: 6am to 6pm, Days / 6pm to 6am, NightsShifts: 12 hours shifts (Continental Shift Pattern- 3 on and 3 off)Established in 2000, Turbine Surface Technologies is a joint venture between Rolls- Royce and Chromalloy, providing specialist coatings solutions to state-of-the-art turbine components. Situated on Sherwood Business Park in Annesley, Nottingham.We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our dedicated Stores team, an integral part of the business.The role:As a Stores Operator you will be responsible for managing the receipt of turbine components and their release into production, and the dispatching of coated turbine components. You will also be responsible for managing essential materials and consumablesin the Stores warehouse facility.The Stores facility is the center of logistics for our business and the successful candidate will have the opportunity for further training in international shipping including customs, invoices and declarations. Full training will be provided.Responsibilities and duties:

  • Facilitating the receipt of parts from the customer; including inspecting parts, allocating to works orders and releasing into production.
  • Completing works orders to enable invoicing and the returning of finished parts to customer.
  • Sub-contracting parts for third party processing.
  • Control of consumables including receiving and checking deliveries, receiving via ERP/ Infor (WMS) system, putting into stock or arranging for collection by the requestor as required.
  • Issuing of stock requisitions to the factory and accurately issuing the stock via ERP/ Infor (WMS) system to ensure reordering when required.
  • Stock management including; locating stock items, stock counting, stock rotation and shelf-life management, awareness of shortages and ensuring the storage areas are kept in good order.
  • Using the ERP/ Infor (WMS) system for goods receipt, dispatch and stock movements.
  • Have a thorough awareness of the stores departments protocols and Health & Safety requirements.
Skills and Knowledge:
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated, ability to work to targets.
  • A basic level of literacy and numeracy is required.
  • Basic computer skills required to use internal systems and record results.
Desirable:Whilst this is desirable, full training will be provided and the right candidate will have a positive attitude and be looking develop their skills.
  • Previous experience in a stores/ warehouse environment or working in a similar role.
  • Forklift truck license.
Salary and Benefits:As a production facility we operate a 24/7 rotating shift pattern.You will be working a Continental Shift Pattern: working 3 days on and 3 days off - 12 Hour Days from 6.00 am to 6.00 pm and 12 Hour Nights from 6.00 pm to 6.00amThe basic starting salary will be £25,486.00 (inclusive of 33.3% shift premium). Upon successfully completing training salary will increase.Stores Operator - Benefits:
