Job Title: Quantity SurveyorLocation: Colsterworth, Grantham, GB, NG33 5LYCompensation: Attractive Salary + BenefitsRole Type: Full timeJob ID: SF41412This is your opportunity to join Babcock International assisting the Managing Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Department and project team to maximise profit and reduce risk.Who we are looking forWe are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in predominantly sub-contractor management and supporting CVR process on a £25m contract over the next 3 years.What will you be doing* Assisting in the provision of relevant information for preparation of reports and claims to agreed timescales.* Assisting with the ongoing implementation of the commercial application in respect of site personnel at all-time whilst developing lasting relationships with Business Unit and Project Managers.* Constantly refer to the project risk management plan for thorough, accurate, high-level risk assessment. Monitoring the register and any related documentation in accordance with the plan.* Responsibility for all sub-contractor management. Ensuring all sub-contractors and suppliers have submitted compliant quotations/enquiries/applications within the timescale required, and producing all documentation to select and secure services as well asmonthly assessments, variations/CE claims and final account agreements.* Actively increasing knowledge of commercial issues and contract law.* Actively suggesting and developing processes for increased accuracy and efficiency minimising time journal and reconciliation tasks.The experience youll bring * Ideally come from a Power or Heavy Civils / Infrastructure background with proven experience * Must have a relevant Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying * Must have Contract Law experience* Ideally will have project management experience (within £20m+ projects).What a role with Babcock offers * Generous holiday entitlement* Competitive money purchase pension scheme with life assurance* Share ownership scheme* Access to make a difference for a sustainable environment for future* A tailored personal development and training programme.* Autonomy.
