You will undertake non-medical tasks to free up the medical staff to be able to focus on their clinical role and make visitors stay ascomfortable as possible.Responsibilities are very varied and include, but are not limited to:Escorting patients to assigned departmentsCollecting prescriptions to speed up their dischargeProviding emotional support/pastoral care while they await treatmentProviding emotional support to close friends and familiesEnsuring patients have food/drink while waiting for long hoursDriving patients home when discharged and making sure they are safely settled at homeSignposting and referring patients to other sources of support in the communityPlease note that this service runs from Monday to Sunday (including bank holidays) and successful candidate will be expected to commit to up to 10-hour shifts (flexible days).Your TeamThe Independent Living (IL) & Crisis Response (CR) service (IL/CR) are dedicated to making lives of vulnerable people a little bit better.
