Job Description

Quality ManagerSwansea 20688/617Up to £45,000 + Excellent company benefits A leading advanced manufacturer operating from South Wales are currently looking to recruit a Quality Manager. As a business they supply a diverse range of industries and are growing significantly. This opportunity offers the chance to join an excellentmanufacturing business along with genuine long-term career development and progression.Roles & Responsibilities

  • To manage the day-to-day running of the QMS (ISO9001/Automotive/Customer Specific) & EMS (ISO14001)
  • To gather and present information during the external auditing process
  • To conduct internal auditing of the QMS/EMS
  • To make changes to/update the QMS/EMS based on audit outcomes (processes and procedures)
  • To ensure calibration status of equipment and associated records are up to date
  • Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective action for product and process quality issues (8D Reporting).
  • Participate in the development and refinement of process FMEA
  • Promote the use of customer preferred techniques such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke, MSA, 5-S etc
  • Environmental Management System (ISO14001) - to assist in the auditing process and work with the Facilities Manager in day-to-day running of the EMS
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a Quality Management position would be desirable however a Quality Engineer looking to step up into management would be considered
  • Familiar with Quality Standards - ISO9001 and ISO14001
  • Worked in manufacturing - automotive, materials, aerospace would be beneficial
Benefits Package
  • Up to £45,000 basic salary
  • NEST pension scheme - employer can contribute up to 5% and employee will match
