Acorn Recruitment is working with a growing business with exciting projects in the pipeline, great benefits with opportunities to progress, seeking skilled Production Operatives to join their team.Job Duties:* Maintaining & cleaning machinery, equipment and work areas to enable consistent performance* Measuring, grading and feeding batches of raw materials into production machinery* Operating production line equipment* Finishing products, for example cleaning and sealing storage tins* Monitoring the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks* Storing goods and raw materials in the factory or warehouse* Using lifting equipment and forklift trucks - preferable* Packing goods ready for shipment* Ensuring good "5S" standards throughout the manufacturing area* Work within ISO guidelinesThe above statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required, and the Company will reasonably require you to perform other duties from time to time as necessary to meet the needs of the business.Key Competencies:* Proven practical abilities including basic workshop skills* To be thorough and pay attention to detail* Excellent communication skills and capable of team working* An ability to follow instructions but capable of independent decisions when necessary* A good understanding of mechanical systems and devices and an appreciation of electrical interactions* Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations* The ability to work well under pressure and accept constructive criticism* The ability to work well with your hands* Physical skills like movement, coordination and dexterity* To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device* To be flexible and open to changeRate of Pay:* £22,000 - £25,000 per annumTo be considered for this post, please apply with your up to date CV.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
