Job Description

The Interim Logistics Manager will be responsible for the Warehouse and Shipping department ensuring that Customer needs are met on time and in full.Client DetailsMy Client is in the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain sector.   • Manage and lead the Warehouse team to deliver raw materials to production and manage the dispatch of finished goods.
  • Be responsible for managing Inventory and Stock Control across the Warehouse operation to ensure customer demands are met.
  • Follow up and drive resolution for customer orders/deliveries/replacements to guarantee the best possible service levels
  • Manage material handling from shipping to receiving, to ensure compliance to logistics protocol.e.g. customs containers.
  • Manage the Export documentation team to ensure they are compliant with Brexit changes
  • Be the key initial contact in the plant for Customer Service with your team to build strong relationships with customers.
  • Follow up on significant Demand Changes with Customer Contacts to improve business intelligence.
  • Leading and maintaining safety approach with a zero accident culture. Ensures and monitors work,accident prevention and safe working.

  • Previous experience managing a Warehouse and Shipping team
  • Previous experience working in a Manufacturing, Automotive or Engineering operation
  • Good understanding of LEAN principles
