Job Description

What is great about the roleThis is a varied, fast paced role where you will have the chance to work with a variety of people from different backgrounds and change peoples lives by working with us and our experienced team of Floating Support Workers. You will have autonomy to structureyour week to ensure the very best support is provided for your clients. You will also be working closely with other services and agencies to ensure that the people we support receive support tailored to their needs.This is a highly rewarding role where you see those wins when someone you have supported has achieved something or you have got a grant for someone or see someone settle into a home when they have previously had a rough time.As a Support worker you will:

  • Motivate and encourage clients to participate in the community and to promote life and social skills.
  • Provide housing related support to enable clients to take on and/or sustain a tenancy to prevent homelessness within our service
  • Provide information and advice and support
  • Carry out all necessary administrative tasks in relation to the job, including developing risk assessments & risk management plans, needs assessments & support plans
  • Carry a caseload of clients with a variety of differing needs and levels of need, depending on their situation.
  • To liaise and work closely with other agencies and professionals with regard to clients support needs e.g. Social Services, Social Landlords, Lettings Agencies etc.
  • Help with potential benefits, register with healthcare providers

  • 32 hours, permanent
  • Exact salary for this role is £18,327.35, Full Time Equivalent is £21,191
  • We have a flexible and agile approach to the way we work. Out in the local community or in peoples homes. Offering support via telephone and video call. All support is client led and needs basis.
  • The hours are predominately between Monday to Friday days, however full flexibility is required to meet the needs of the service.
  • 26 days (pro rata) holiday entitlement plus Bank holidays
  • The role requires an enhanced DBS which we pay for
