Category Manager - Plumbing & Heating / KBB Products Job Title: Category Manager - Plumbing & Heating / KBB ProductsIndustry Sector: Category Manager, Procurement, Building Materials, Plumbing, Heating, Boilers, Radiators, Sinks, Showers, Baths, Pipes, Taps, Tools, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Kitchen Appliances, Bathroom Furniture, Bedrooms, KBB, Main Contractors, Subcontractors,Local AuthoritiesLocation: Ammanford or surrounding areasRemuneration: £30,000 - £33,000 + profit share bonusBenefits: Company Car / Allowance & Comprehensive Benefits Package The role of the Category Manager - Plumbing & Heating / KBB Products will involve:

  • Category manager position, dealing with a range of plumbing, heating & KBB products for the construction industry such as: kitchens, ovens, fridges, freezers, microwaves, work tops, kitchen doors, kitchen furniture, bathroom furniture, boilers, radiators,taps, showers, pipes, sinks, baths, toilets etc
  • Building a regional knowledge base, monitoring market trends and competitor analysis to develop a buying strategy to fit local demand.
  • Negotiating discount terms, meeting with supplier representatives
  • Ensuring the product range is correctly priced
  • Maintaining stock profiles for each supplier based on branch type and demand
  • Procuring displays for new and remodelled KBB showrooms
  • Collaborating with a number of key stakeholders across the business on procurement and stock management strategies
  • Introducing new product ranges, or changes of supplier to company stock profile, and co-ordinate stock cleanse where applicable.
  • Ensuring supplier pricing guides and terms is communicated in a timely and accurate manner with branch and sales staff
The ideal applicant will be Category Manager - Plumbing & Heating / KBB Products with:
  • Must have experience within the procurement market sector
  • Must have knowledge of plumbing and heating or KBB products
  • Must have good negotiation skills
  • Experience with maintaining stock profiles
  • Proactive and positive individual
  • Commercially aware
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be computer literate
  • Outgoing, enthusiastic and confident personality
