Technical Officer/Building Surveyor Carmarthenshire Temporary Contract £19.32-£23 per hour 35 hours per week Based in Llanelli but will be required to work anywhere in Carmarthenshire and possibly in neighbouring counties (Agile/Flexible working)BRC are working with a client based in Carmarthen who are looking for an experienced Surveyor who has sound knowledge in Domestic Building Construction.This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation who assists older people and people with disabilities to repair and adapt their homes. In addition to its technical service the organisation also provides an advisory role in relation to home maintenance,welfare benefits and other sources of assistance.Reporting to the Senior Technical Officer, your core role will be surveying domestic properties, preparing plans and schedules of works and as such you will be fully conversant planning and building regulations. You will also be required to identify propertydefects and provide advice in relation to remedial solutions and undertake monitoring of building works. Knowledge of Local Authority Grants system would be a distinct advantage as would experience of working with older/disabled people.You must have the ability to draw construction plans and designs using AutoCAD or Revit!Skills Required: Planning and Organising, Communication, Monitoring, Recording and Reporting, Administration, Health and SafetyRequirements:They are seeking to appoint a Technical Officer who is highly motivated with an ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. You will have an HNC or HND in Building Studies and minimum of 3 years experience of property refurbishment.
