REED Accountancyare working EXCLUSIVELY with a business based in North Birmingham with a view to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis to join their busy finance team.This role is urgent so little/no notice period is preferred however not essential. It would also suit a candidate who is AAT qualified and looking to pursue ACCA or CIMA or someone who is already studying towards their professional qualification.Duties include:AP, sales ledger and credit control - very basic as it is mostly automated through a portal system• Cash Flow forecast and monitoring• Processing and reconciling DB pension scheme expenses and payments• Processing weekly and monthly payroll (Sage 50 experience ideally)• Payroll management - Monthly reporting of overtime, deductions, new starters and leavers• Processing bank payments• Processing employee expenses• Preparing and posting journals• Preparation of monthly VAT Returns, EC Sales, Intrastat• Balance Sheet and Supplier Statement Reconciliation• Preparation of monthly management accountsPerson Specification:
