Job Description

About usOur client is a small business in Altrincham (there are 7 people in the office and 2 other team members who live abroad). Our goal is to improve the lives of our clients by providing high quality, honest advice delivered with integrity.We specialise in helping opticians practices manage their business, so an extremely niche market.Trainee Business ConsultantFull time permanent(12-18 months full in-house training will be provided for the right candidate)We are looking for an exceptional and highly motivated graduate or post-graduate to train to become a Business Consultant. When fully trained, the successful candidate will provide expert guidance and implementation of business improvement projects for ourclients.Responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing and analysing different aspects of our clients businesses
  2. Compiling data and reports and presenting recommendations
  3. Guiding the implementation of business improvement projects, including early stage exit planning.
To be successful as a Business Consultant, you should have a reasonable existing level of business knowledge and excellent communication skills. A top Business Consultant should have outstanding research skills and demonstrate exceptional problem-solving abilities.This is a dynamic role as part of a small, specialist, team with interchangeable skills and aptitudes.
  1. Once sufficient training and experience have been gained, the role will expand and evolve to include consultative selling / cross selling of our wide range of services.
  2. If an aptitude is demonstrated, the role may lead to direct business brokerage / business sales negotiations
Must have :- Degree (Preferably a business degree but other degrees will be considered) A driving licence and access to a car Excellent communications skills Fluent English Attention to detail Able to use own initiative Team player Superb people skillsThings to note:- The role is 100% office based Full Time - Monday to Friday 8:55am to 5pm Although this is a Trainee position we would also consider someone who has experience in this area.
