Job Description

A leading financial organisation requires an experienced IT Support Technician to play a key role within its business. They need a "safe pair of hands" to perform the various functions required to provide technical support its customers (retailers and consumers) as well as helping keep systems running smoothly for internal staff.You will have at least five years’ experience of first and second level IT support, and have a professional and reassuring manner in your written, verbal and face-to-face communications. As a key player in a small team you will need to be trustworthy, security conscious, and a good all-rounder.Responsibilities:

  • Help to customers (businesses and consumers) via Support Desk (Zoho), phone, email and possibly live chat to provide solutions to technical problems.
  • Assist retailers in setting up and integrating our services into their own systems.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting to identify issues.
  • Provide our staff and retailer customers accurate technical information on our products and services
  • Explain and provide IT solutions to customers in non-technical and comprehensible terms
  • Respond to inquiries from our own staff about hardware or software issues
  • Support our own staff with laptop, software, phone issues
  • Set up equipment and services for new employees
  • Maintain a Configuration Management Database of company equipment
  • Maintain documentation on processes and procedures
  • Prepare and present reports to update the CTO on IT support operations
  • Experience with of some or all of the following is desirable:
  • An understanding of technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP
  • Databases (administration and writing of simple queries).
  • Managing Apple Macs in a business environment.
  • Managing email systems (e.g. GSuite, Exchange, Office365).
  • Service Desk portals (e.g. Zoho, Freshdesk, Jira).
  • Management / maintenance of CMS or Ecommerce platforms (for example WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify etc).
  • Nice to haves:
  • Experience with cloud hosting services, especially AWS
  • Setup and configuration of network systems
  • Cloud hosted VOIP systems
  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment
