Job Description

The client specialises in property finance and have been creating successful lending partnerships for many years. They pride themselves on not being your typical lender and recognise that every project and property is different. With this in mind theyaim to give the best service possible to their customers and as such are looking for a finance controller to help achieve their goal. If you think that youre up to this challenge, then please consider applying to this ad!The main duties of a finance controller:
  • Manage, lead, and develop finance staff and supervise daily financial processing and cash flow management
  • Produce the year end accounts for the Companies for audit.
  • Supervise the monthly borrower and funder processes.
  • Responsible to produce high quality reporting pack and MI to include KPIs and variance analysis.
  • Will be responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts, including inter-company processes, reconciliations, and consolidated accounts
  • System implementation and data integration.
  • Develop the internal control procedures and financial reporting systems.
  • In partnership with the FD develop and implement business growth strategies.
  • Must deal with accountants on the preparation of the annual financial reports for all group companies.
  • Manage balance sheets, the loans and cash books, and profit and loss accounts.
  • Overall, must ensure that financial practices and in line with professional accounting standards and codes of practise
Requirements of a finance controller:
  • Qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
  • Must have advanced Microsoft Office experience
  • Ideally the right candidate will come from a FCA regulated background however not essential
  • Sage software and banking software experience
  • Must be able to manage time effectively in order to fill all aspects of the role
  • Must be a team player whilst also being able to shine as an individual at times.
  • Must be within a commutable distance of the companys office in Altrincham.
