Job Description

Our people are part of the fabric that makes us what we are, and when youre as passionate about your people as we are, job satisfactionand career progression come hand in hand.Whats in the role and what are we looking forWe have a brilliant opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to work as a Creative Copywriter within our dynamic and collaborative Creative team, based at our offices in Altrincham.You will be responsible for the creation and management of aspirational, engaging, informative and promotional copy content required by the business; creating and developing the brand tone of voice, and acting as custodian of the written word across allareas of the businessYour role will be to:

  • Work with the Creative and Marketing teams to translate briefs into innovative creative ideas and engaging copy content for multiple channels, all in the appropriate brand tone of voice for online, offline and retail channels
  • Work closely with the online team to ensure that product descriptions and website content is SEO and keyword-friendly
  • Take copy briefs directly from the Merchandise team and produce persuasive copy that best promotes the products features and benefits
  • Be creative and imaginative, and commercially aware of what is going on in the marketplace to help stimulate new ideas across the business
  • Be actively involved in discussing the brands core message requirements, gaining a strong understanding of our target audience and creating copy that reflects the brands strategy and values across multiple channels
  • To learn and effectively use the Content Management System in the creation of creative copy
  • To work with and build relationships with internal teams and external suppliers
  • To take a lead role and set the standard for correct and consistent terminology and grammar. Maintaining and developing tone of voice guidelines tailored to each of the key demographics of our customers
  • To work with the Planning Manager to ensure that schedules, deadlines and budgets are met
What do you need to excel in this role
  • Be Mac literate and have some experience in using Abobe Creative Suite
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the written word, typography and the design process
  • Have the technical knowledge to write clear, concise and grammatically correct copy
  • Have an interest in social and cultural trends, and the fashion industry
  • Have a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to both work independently and collaboratively
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter who is open to other peoples points of view and is able to take on feedback
  • Will be no stranger to the pressures of tight timescales, budgets and prioritising a busy and varied workload; and will meet them all without compromising on quality or efficiency
