OverviewThe position of Assistant Lettings Accountant is based within an ambitious and fast-growing organisation consisting of multiple businesses. Reporting to the Finance Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for the lettings management accounts. DutiesMonthly* Managing the accounting processes required on MRI. This will be done with the help of a junior member of staff. * Clearing MRI queries with lettings team & site staff.* Processing tenant refunds.* Processing tenant deposits.* Setting up supplier payments on MRI.* Setting up monthly supplier payments on Xero.* Reconciling business cards.* Topping up cards.* Processing expense payments.* Support the wider finance team where required.End of quarter* Managing and processing quarterly landlord statements and payments* Processing NRLT tax and payments* Maintain and develop excellent relations with our customers. Help clear queries from landlords regarding quarterly payments and account statements. Key Characteristics* Ideally previous experience working within the property sector * Working towards a professional qualification CIMA/ACCA (not essential)* Good knowledge of Excel, MRI, Qube.* Previous experience of Xero would be an advantage but is not essential* Strong interpersonal skills, Confident and effective written and verbal communication.* Approachable manner that encourages interaction with others.* Previous experience in an accounting team dealing with letting management (essential)* Ability to establish priorities and manage a complex workload (essential)
