Job Description

We are an engineering solution provider to the aerospace, defence and industrial sectors. We have been established for over 40 years and due to expansion, we are looking for a CNC Turner Machinist to join our friendly existing company. We supply to manyOEM fortune 500 companies and have a presence across the UK, Europe and some of the US. We aim to be a 100 million turnover company while delivering excellence. Its an exciting time to join a growing and forward-thinking company with opportunities for progression.Based near Alton, you will be working Monday to Friday 8.30am5pm. We are offering a competitive salary of up to £38k, with a discretionary company annual bonus. We offer free parking, 24 days holiday, pension scheme, childcare vouchers and a uniform.The CNC Turner Machinist will work within our new and modern workshop, machining aerospace precision parts to customers specifications and within AS9100 quality standards.You will be working within a team of 17 machinists and report to the General Manager with the following duties as follows:

  • Machining of precision items in stainless steel, brass and aluminium.
  • Set and operate machines with minimal supervision.
  • Liaising with machine shop staff to ensure that products produced are to the specifications required
  • Ability to resolve queries and problems and ensure minimum occurrence of errors.
  • Working to health and safety rules and procedures
To be successful for the CNC Turner Machinist role you will have previous experience of working on a CNC machine with knowledge to set and operate equipment. Previous programming experience is an advantage but we can train in this area. You will have solidmechanical/engineering knowledge, ideally with a relevant qualification. Aerospace industry experience is desirable.Please send us your CV for consideration
