Job Description

Fully Qualified, Part-Qualified or QBE Semi Senior Accountant is required on a full-time basis for a family Accountancy Practice in Alsager, Cheshire, North West England.SALARY: £25,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)LOCATION: Alsager, Cheshire, North West EnglandJOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentJOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Fully Qualified, Part-Qualified or QBE Semi Senior Accountant that has the experience to take on all aspects of accountancy for a range of clients.As the Semi Senior Accountant you will have experience within an accountancy practice with the ability to deliver a professional service to clients and can establish and build the personal relationships which are key to the firms success.Working as the Semi Senior Accountant you will need to be able to plan and prioritise your own workload and be able to communicate with clients and colleagues in a professional manner. The main responsibilities for this Semi Senior Accountant role include:

  • Accounts preparation for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and private clients to final review / completion
  • Managing a diverse range of clients and meeting their needs
  • Liaising with clients; advising them on accounting systems and processes
  • Tax computations
  • Book-keeping activities
  • VAT returns
  • Payroll processing
ABOUT THE ACCOUNTANCY PRACTICEThe firm is a family Accountancy practice situated on the South Cheshire/North Staffordshire border, providing a professional accountancy, payroll and taxation service to a range of clients. They take pride in getting to know their clients and aim to providea service which is tailored to their needs.CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSAs the Semi-Senior Accountant you will have the following skills and experience:
  • You will have well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build a rapport with people easily
  • You will possess significant accounting knowledge and experience ideally built up from delivering to multiple clients within a professional accountancy practice
  • With a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the ideal candidate would ideally possess experience of working with all aspects of Sage accounting software
