Be an essential member of our international fashion business. Use your purchasing experience and knowledge of computer systems to gather and record key information to inform management decision making. Work closely with Design partners to gather data oneach seasons fabrics/components, ensuring this is correctly recorded and that critical path is followed.Learn our sales forecasting & work issuing systems, and use your knowledge of good planning, to make sure that manufacturing processes operate in line with the production plan.Enjoy working with friendly people, supporting a number of departments across all levels, in this varied and interesting role.Interpret and plan purchasing requirements using our computerised forecasting system to place and progress orders for new and current seasons fabrics and components. Full training in our systems will be provided and we seek someone with the potential tobuild and improve our current processes. You should also be able to build and maintain strong relationships with our suppliers. This is a new role with scope and we seek someone with the initiative to suggest ways in which we can expand our production buyingand planning.Work closely with the Production planning team to ensure lead time information is correct and understood for planning purposes.An understanding of procurement and previous experience within a purchasing role would be an advantage. An interest in textiles would also be helpful. This role would suit a good administrator who is highly organised and meticulous. You should also be numerate,good at managing deadlines and used to handling a busy workload. Whilst no formal qualifications are required, a good standard of Maths and English is essential, along with a good understanding of Microsoft Excel.THE COMPANYDavid Nieper is a well established family business that has been successfully designing and manufacturing luxury ladies fashion for over 60 years.
