Production Supervisor, Permanent position, Basic salary is £27,514.50 + Plenty of overtime. Working hours are Standard days, 37.5 hrs per week.This is a great opportunity to work for one of the leading companies in furniture manufacturing.Job PurposeTo lead the department across a range of job functions by managing, monitoring and developing employees and the processes that affect the manufacturing process and ensuring quality and quantity of product which meets the production schedule.Principle Accountabilities* Ensuring that safe systems of work are in place in accordance with Health and Safety legislation.* To ensure the quality of product is being managed in order to meet customer expectations.* Develop training and development plans to ensure that all employees relevant needs are identified and are trained to required standards.* To lead and motivate team members across the department to include disciplinary procedures, grievances, recruitment processes, appraisal/performance review.* To manage and evaluate KPIs and to ensure they are in line with organisational requirements.* To ensure products meet their deadlines and is responsible for updating the team of any delays.Knowledge, Skills & Experience* A sound understanding of modern lean manufacturing processes and disciplines.* 1-2 years experience, or equivalent working as a supervisor in a similar business environment.* Ability to work in a team oriented environment.* A positive mind-set with a can do attitude.* Must be proactive and be able to demonstrate this in a fast paced operational environment.* Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required.Resources* Responsible for motivating and leading team members.* Collaborate with other key support departments i.e. Maintenance, Continuous Improvements, Engineering, Quality and including Resource Planning ManagerQualifications* Minimum of GCSE / O level education, or equivalent.* NVQ / ILM level 2 / 3, or equivalent preferred.If you would like further information, please contact samantha at Employment Solutions on , or email your CV to
