Job Description

Location: AccringtonJob Type: Senior Quantity Surveyor Salary: Up to £65k + package Im working with an established Regional Contractor who specialise in public sector refurbishment works across Greater Manchester. They are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparation of bills and/or schedules for quantities of materials, labour and services required in the construction and refurbishment of building works in relation to both Estimating and Post contract duties.
  • Preparation and valuation of progress and submission to client
  • Sub-contract procurement including sending out enquiries, collating prices, negotiation, order placement
  • Sub-contract valuations and payments in connection with any contract.
  • Preparation of internal cost reporting measures.
  • Advice when required on cost management, or value management.
  • Maintaining quality control procedures.
  • Health & Safety management.
  • Undertaking all tasks in a timely fashion and as required by management.
  • Ensure cash flow is maximised
Ideally, you will have experience working with a Main Contractor working on Public Sector projects (Maintenance, Refurbishment or New Build).
