Job Description

Make a difference every day and give back to your community!This role is based within a Care Home and as such an understanding and respect for the needs and privacy of our residents is very important.This role will be based at Springhill Care Home, Accrington. The home has been specially designed to cater to the every need of 116residents, living with a range of physical, age related and mental health conditions that require dignified support from ourcaring team. It is essential that candidates for this role are therefore patient, understanding and respectful of our residents individual abilities.Hours - 25.25 per week over a 4 week rolling rota. Hours willvary as our reception is open from 8am to 8pm, 7 days per week as in line with the needs of the business (please ask for a copy of the rota for moreinformation)Benefits of becoming our Receptionist/Admin Assistant: In return for your hard work, we can offer a range of benefits including;- Opportunities to learn and progress with the support of our dedicated Quality Matters team- Fully funded DBS- Comprehensive Holiday Pay scheme that rewards you for your commitment- Free refreshments and snacks whilst on shift- Fantastic Refer a Friend scheme, offering up to £200 per successful candidate!Responsibilities of our Reception/Admin Assistant include: - Report to the General Manager and Personal Assistant- Handling and screening calls and taking messages- Managing the Homes incoming mail and distribute accordingly- Manage all outgoing mail- Printing and sorting relevant paperwork requested for each floor- Photocopying and binding- Maintaning databases and data entry- Distribution of notices for the home- Dealing with timesheet maintenance- Welcoming visitors to the homeWhat were looking for in our Receptionist/Admin Assistant:The successful candidate will have a friendly, kind, honest, reassuring, effective communication style and a positive and enthusiastic attitude to work. You will require the ability to be flexible, approachable, well organised and the skillto prioritiseis essential. As well as providing an effective first point of contact, you will also positively promote and communicate your shared belief in our goal of delivering excellence in person centred care.Previous experience in an administration role is desirable, as well as knowledgewith Microsoft Word and Excel databases.
