Were working with a leading house-hold name within the Retail industry who are looking to strengthen their Commercial Finance team with a Commercial Analyst. Working with both the Retail and Commercial Teams, main objective of this role is to help thebusiness improve performance, through an effective combination of business partnering and analytical skills.Salary wise our client is offering £35,000 - £45,000 + 10% bonus, and this role will offer the successful candidate a great deal of flexible working, including hybrid working with up to 3 days per week to work from home. Key responsibilities will include:The role will provide an opportunity to educate the business on performance, guiding actions and influencing decision making through detailed insight and analysis. The successful candidate should be able to draw conclusions and have the confidence to make informedrecommendations that will enable the business to maximise profit.There will be a key focus on building effective working relationships with operational stakeholders. To work effectively in the role, the Commercial Finance Analyst should work proactively to understand the area of the business that they support and the challengesand opportunities that exist.Through reviewing key KPIs and understanding drivers of performance, the role holder should provide high quality support through value added insight, helping stakeholders understand what has happened and what we could do differently in the future.In relation to Budgeting and Forecasting, the role holder should ensure that assumptions and growth plans are transparent and understood, with clear plans to deliver. In year, focus will ensure the business stays on track to deliver its plans and that latestviews of outturn reflect the most likely outcome.Additional specific responsibilities include:* Provision of coherent, concise reporting of trading performance vs financial and non-financial KPIs across various channels, with key drivers understood.* Provide financial modelling for business cases and initiatives.* Designing, building and owning a suite of dashboards and reporting tools within Tableau.Skills needed:We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious finance professional with a desire for continuous improvement. Key skills, experience and attributes:* Proven experience in a commercial role with a desire to pursue a career in commercial finance.* Excellent, audience-appropriate communication skills and the ability to distil and present complex financial information clearly & succinctly to senior management.* Efficient and confident use of tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and BI Software (Tableau, Power BI or similar).* Strong numerical & data analytical skills, with a high attention to detail and focus on accuracy.* Confident in challenging the business to deliver against ambitious growth targets.* Strong organisational and planning skills required to manage the expectations of stakeholders and ensure efficient completion of deliverables.
