We are the UK’s favourite bed specialist with over 50 years heritage, more than 150 stores nationwide and a dedicated UK factory in Huntingdon.Across our retail stores, manufacturing site and distribution centres, we employ over 1500 individuals who are all part of our vision to become a market leading beds retailer with a strong omnichannel presence.You too, could be part of our vision and a key player in moving our business forward with your natural ability to, engage, inspire and offer advice to our customers as well as motivate and inspire your team to ensure our customers choose the bed that suits them best Job Role To drive consideration of the Harveys and Bensons brands, helping to plan, co-ordinate, deliver and control brand communications across a range of customer touchpoints.In this role you will assist in delivering a fully integrated branded experience across all customer touchpoints, with a specific focus on social media channels and PR activity. You will be a strong team player with excellent written skills and a creative eye. You will have a passion for interiors and will drive compelling customer content that engages with our target audience, raising brand awareness and driving footfall in to stores and traffic online. You will also complete any other tasks asked of you that may be required to help the Brand Marketing team achieve their goals. Responsibilities Social Media

  • Be the face of social media for the business, supporting the Brand Manager with developing the brand social strategy and leading the implementation of this
  • Ensure the content plan is up-to-date at all times with all planned social media and influencer activity
  • Plan and manage all day to day posts across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, ensuring imagery and copy is high quality and works alongside the Brand Guidelines
  • Develop a brand content plan for our YouTube channel, ensuring regular brand content is posted to engage audiences
  • Work alongside the wider team to help plan for social content for any upcoming Brand or Trade Campaigns and key moments
  • Research, select and manage all Micro Social Media influencers, negotiating social coverage in exchange for gifting and/or a fee, working alongside the team budget
  • Work alongside iProspect to select appropriate Macro Social Media influencers from the Gleam Network for social campaigns
  • Work with Brand Marketing Assistant to ensure social analytics are reviewed and social media strategy and activity tweaked accordingly to ensure delivery against KPIs and goals
  • Secure any ‘free of charge’ products from both our internal buying teams and suppliers, to be gifted to influencers and save money from the Brand Marketing budget
  • Manage our product gifting programme for social media influencers, ensuring costs are logged and that internal colleagues are engaged, products are delivered on time and coverage is logged and communicated to the business
  • Monitor and seek any good quality UGC imagery for reposting on our Instagram channels, working with both buying teams to ensure all products are still relevant
  • Work closely with our Studio team to develop assets for our social media channels, including still and moving images when required, i.e. Dulux colour of the year
  • Manage, organise and potentially host any Instagram live videos on both channels
  • Work closely with the Social Media Customer Service team to make sure everyone is aligned with responses on all social channels and ensuring the team are always aware of any upcoming campaigns so they can so they can plan accordingly.
  • Provide any relevant Social Media training to the Social Media Customer Services team, working alongside the Team Leader
  • Provide Weekly Trade Slides to Bensons and Harveys Marketing teams every Monday morning, with relevant social updates and statistics
  • Work with the Recruitment team to plan and manage the careers social channels, ensuring all posts are high quality and inclusive of all teams and departments within
  • Blog planning and strategy
  • Work with the wider team and copywriters to plan blogs for each quarter, aligning content with social, PR, trends, new products and hacks
  • Implementr and manage a blog plan, keeping the content calendar up to date at all times for the quarter ahead
  • Upload and make live all blog content and suitable imagery using Wordpress
  • Choose appropriate media to go alongside blogs, potentially creating imagery and sometimes hack videos to be hosted on our Vimeo Channel
  • Work with Brand Marketing Assistant to ensure blog analytics are reviewed and the content strategy and activity tweaked accordingly to ensure relevant, engaging content is delivered
  • Supporting internal communications and L&D teams
  • Be the glue between Brand Marketing Team and Internal Comms, to ensure brand campaigns/activity are communicated to all colleagues and making sure messaging is aligned and consistent across all channels
  • Support Internal Comms Manager with any internal brand communications projects where necessary
  • Provide all brand content / updates of brand activity to Internal Comms Manager to ensure messaging and planned activity is communicated at store level and to support functions
  • Provide relevant brand content to L&D Manager to form part of store colleague training
  • Other
  • Provide slides detailing social and blog activity from time to time, e.g. for meetings, roadshows, peak trading periods and wash up reports
  • Carry out from time to time and as directed, any other duties as required in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within your capabilities

  • What we are looking for: Qualifications / Experience
  • One years’ experience in an offline marketing or similar role – B2C
  • Some experience of working with Charities in a similar capacity
  • Microsoft Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge / Skills
  • An excellent communicator, having strong written skills as well as being able to communicate verbally with peers
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge of how social media works for a business
