Job Description

Axon Moore are exclusively working with a successful and growing manufacturer in Accrington, to recruit an ambitious Assistant Finance Manager. This role will suit a commercially minded, driven, ACCA/ACA/CIMA part qualified individual with a forward thinking mindset.This is a unique role which will offer a high degree of autonomy to manage the commercial and operational performance.Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain ledgers for all group trading companies
  • Ensure all month end procedures are completed to produce accurate company and cost centre trial balances.
  • Ensure bank reconciliations are completed and accurate.
  • Ensure intercompany reconciliations are completed.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting of prepayments and accruals and other balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure all stock reconciliations and journals are accurately completed.
  • Oversight to ensure the accurate reporting within the daily sales report.
  • Day to day management of the team of 4 transactional staff
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT reports for all group trading companies and submission of VAT returns.
  • Preparation of year end files for the audit.
