This Life Sciences company is a specialist contract research organisation and drug discovery platform, providing science and services to support areas including wound care, rare diseases, climate change and antimicrobial resistance. They are seeking a self-motivatedchemist to join their research and development team, with opportunities to develop across the business.Responsibilities:- Contribute to innovation and modification of processes, methods and equipment- Write technical reports and specifications, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary- Maintain appropriate records, including ELN- Carry out research as part of a multi-disciplinary team to achieve customer requirements- Develop and perform analytical techniques- Product validation- Quality controlEssential criteria:- At least 3 years experience in a practical analytical environment- Excellent method development skills in HPLC, including calibration- Excellent SOP and report writing skills- Mastery of sample preparation methods for analysis- Practical experience in method development for GCDesirable Criteria:- Practical experience in mass spectrum interpretation- Practical experience in other analytical techniques such as IR, NMR, UV/VIS- Experience working with natural product chemistry- Demonstrable diagnostic and problem-solving skillsCost incurred by applicants for travelling to any interview granted or relocation will not be covered.
